MetroNet is set to acquire Jaguar Communications, which has an extensive fiber network throughout Southern Minnesota.

MetroNet Holdings, LLC, the parent company of MetroNet, announced today that is has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Jaguar Communications. Jaguar, based in Owatonna, has an extensive fiber network throughout the area that serves both residential and commercial customers with fiber-based voice, video, and high-speed broadband services.

According to a press release, the official transaction is expected to close in the coming months after regulatory approval, with additional information to be released then.

Jaguar Communications was founded in 1999 and was created to provide advanced telecommunications to Southeastern Minnesota. Jaguar delivers voice, video, and broadband telecommunication services on a 2,000-mile fiber-optic network ring serving customers in 13 counties.
