Litomysl Summer Festival Details on AM Minnesota 7-24-17

I'm looking forward to my annual visit with Rose Kubicek about the Litomysl Summer Festival which will be this weekend on the grounds of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

There is a Polka Mass at 10:00 a.m. and then the Festival takes place from 11:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The event features games for kids of all ages, outdoor food booths, an indoors sit down lunch, filled biscuits, live music and lots of it, a silent auction and country and used-a-bit stores.

The church is located 8 miles south of Owatonna on County Road 45, then 2 miles east on County Road 4 or Southeast 98th Street.

I always go to the grounds by heading south on I-35 to the Hope exit #32, then go east on County Road 4 to County Road 3, then south for a half mile, cross County Road 45 then go east 3 more miles on 98th Street Southeast.

It's a beautiful church built by the pioneers of the area out of the stones found in area fields.

Litomysl has a rural church with 140 families and several thousand people from all over southern Minnesota attend the Summer Festival.

Proceeds used to go toward a school on the grounds but that closed a couple years ago and now the proceeds benefit the church and their youth.
