John Dvorak Rice County Fair manager said on today's AM Minnesota program plans are still moving forward for the 2021 Rice County Fair. With more and more COVID-19 vaccine available one would think before too long everyone that wants to will be able to receive it. However, it all depends on Federal and Minnesota guidelines this summer as to what the Rice County Fair looks like. If there are still restrictions on large gatherings it will be tough to have a grandstand event for example.

It is nice to see the improvements to the Rice County Fairgrounds with the new bathrooms that were needed. In addition John said very soon the old swine barn will be demolished and a new one constructed for the fair this summer. There were some grant funds available plus John was able to receive donations so that is good news too. Click on the link and listen to Rice County Fair manager John Dvorak on today's AM Minnesota.
