KFC Is Releasing a Donut and Chicken Sandwich Nationwide

KFC Chicken, those amazing delicious secret herbs and spices combined to make chicken taste even better than it already does. It's hard to improve on friend chicken, but, people everywhere keep trying. Chicken and waffles? It's a thing, and surprisingly quite tasty, although a little bit does go a long way.

Now, for the newest creation that is going to be launched nationwide...

I'm not quite sure how to take this. I mean, I like donuts, I like chicken, but, the two together?? According to USAToday.com:

After a successful pilot last fall in select Virginia and Pittsburgh restaurants, the Louisville-based fast-food chain announced Thursday that the limited-time Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts will be released starting Monday, Feb. 24 at participating restaurants nationwide.

The sweet and savory meals are available as a sandwich – a chicken fillet between two warm glazed donuts – or as a basket with choice of tenders or bone-in chicken with one or two donuts depending on the meal.

The sandwiches and baskets will be sold through March 16 or while supplies last with prices ranging from $5.49 to $7.99. Hot donuts also can be added to any meal.

I checked to see if we could get this menu item locally, and it's not on the menu online, yet. If it is going to be released on Monday, February 24th, we may see it then.
