
Kenyon-Wanamingo Top Seed, Medford #2 in Section 1A Wild West Subsection
The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals are the #6 seed in the loaded West Subsection of Section 1A. Kenyon-Wanamingo garnered the top seed and a first round bye next week. The Knights ended their regular season with a four set loss to Lake City in the Castle last night.
The Cardinals host Lyle/Pacelli Monday and if they win would go to #3 seed Grand Meadow Thursday, October 24. Defending Section Champion Medford is the #2 seed and will open their playoffs Thursday against the winner between #7 Randolph and #10 Southland.
Kenyon-Wanamingo will open Thursday against the winner of #8 Blooming Prairie and #9 Leroy-Ostrander and the match will be played in the K-W Castle.
#4 seed Goodhue plays the #5 Hayfield versus #12 Glenville-Emmons winner.
In the East Subsection #1 seed Mabel-Canton gets a bye Monday and takes on the winner of #8 Lanesboro and #9 Rushford-Peterson Thursday.
#2 seed Caledonia hosts either #7 Chatfield or #10 Kingsland Thursday.
#3 seed Cotter will host either #6 Wabsha-Kellogg or #11 Schaeffer Academy on Thursday.
The East Subsection semi-finals are Saturday 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Rochester Mayo Civic Center.
The West Subsection semis are 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Saturday October 26 at the Mayo Civic Center.
The West Subsection title match is Halloween at 6:00 p.m. with the East at 7:30 p.m.
The Section 1A title match will be November 2 at 1:00 p.m.
