Kelly Clarkson has been a household name since winning the inaugural season of American Idol in 2002. Numerous crossovers into the country music world have followed, from recording duets with Jason Aldean and Trisha Yearwood to marrying Reba McEntire's stepson, Brandon Blackstock, in 2013.

Yet, per an early-morning tweet from Clarkson, even as one of the biggest crossover stars at the 2019 ACM Awards, she was susceptible to a case of mistaken identity.

"The greatest thing by far that happened to me tonight was being asked to move because some guy thought I was a seat filler at the ACMs tonight," writes Clarkson. "Literally, it made my night because he was so serious, and I just politely said no."

Clarkson was out of her seat quite a bit at the 2019 ACM Awards: During the broadcast, Clarkson performed alongside Aldean, adding their 2010 duet "Don't You Wanna Stay" to the medley of hits he performed when he was crowned the ACM Dick Clark Artist of the Decade. She also teamed up with multi-award winners Dan + Shay to sing "Keeping Score," their collaboration from the country duo's self-titled album, during the show.

Clarkson recently wrapped up her Meaning of Life Tour, in support of her newest album. She'll be launching her very own talk show this fall.
