A 44-year-old Faribault woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 60 and Western Ave in Faribault Saturday night. According to the Minnesota State Patrol Catalina Cuenca of Faribault was taken to District 1 Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Cuenca was a passenger in a 2007 Hummer H4 that was being driven by 46-year-old Luis Hernandez of Faribault. According to the State Patrol website, Hernandez was southbound on Western Avenue when the two collided with a 2017 Chevrolet Trax driven by 61-year-old David Cheney of Rice, MN. Cheney was driving westbound on Highway 60 when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

A 51-year-old passenger in the Chevrolet Trax was uninjured in the crash. According to the online report, alcohol was not involved in the collision, and no one else was transported from the scene. The crash was reported at 7:36 p.m. road conditions were reported to be dry at the time.

Also responding to the crash were the Rice County Sheriff's Office, Faribault Police, and North Memorial Ambulance.
