Get COVID Vaccination at the Rice County Fair
During our Lunch at the Fair segment Wednesday Rice County Public Health Department Director Deb Purfeerst joined us to plug Thursday's COVID Vaccine event at the Rice County Fair in Faribault.
Purfeerst said, "We'll be offering both our Pfizer vaccine as well as the one dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Anyone is eligible 12 years of age and older to be vaccinated. It's a great opporunity if you haven't been vaccinated to get that done."
"Our data is showing us that right now 64 percent of individuals age 16 and older in Rice County have been vaccinated. We are lagging a littel bit behind the state average of 68 percent. I know there's still folks out t here who need to get vaccinated so we're strongly encouraging people to come out to the fair and do that."
Hours for the Vaccination Clinic will be 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Purfeerst encourages everyone to stop by their booth also saying, "You can get signed up for some free drawings. We are giving away some car seats as well as fire extinguishers and have some other free giveaways. So feel free to come out and visit us.
