Federated Insurance, headquartered in Owatonna, announces changes to the leadership roles of the company. In a posting through the Tuesday Talk e-newsletter from the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (OACCT), Federated will appoint Michael G. Kerr into the role of President and CEO. Jeff Fetters, currently the Chairman and CEO, will hold on to the position of Chairman of the Federated Mutual Insurance Companies.

Fetters is quoted on the OACCT website, "As President and CEO, Mike Kerr will continue to champion Federated's culture and core principles and values. He is uniquely qualified to guise our organization forward, having achieved great success in every leadership role he's been assigned throughout the company during his 39-year career." Changes take effect January 2021.

Fetters and his wife will continue to work with Big Brothers Big Sisters through the Federated Challenge.

Additionally, Apogee Enterprises, Inc, parent company to Viracon, announces the Joseph F. Puishys intends to retire at the end of February 2021. The press release, published on the OACCT website, states, "The board has initiated a process to identify the company's next CEO and has retained a leading executive search firm to support the process."

Chair of the Apogee Board states, "On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Joe for his many years of dedicated leadership...Joe guided a transformation of Apogee, building a stronger, more diversified business that achieved considerable growth and improved profitability."
