Faribault Police Chief Announces Retirement
Faribault Mayor Kevin Voracek told KDHL he was saddened by the announcement made during the Tuesday City Council meeting by Police Chief Andy Bohlen.
Bohlen said he would retire at the end of the year.
Mayor Voracek's comments concerning the announcement can be heard below.
I did think when the Faribault Police Chief was talking on AM Minnesota last Friday he sounded like a man leaving when he commented on enjoying working with many good people over the years.
You don't have to go into our archives because I will include last Friday's AM Minnesota program promoting this weekend's Faribault Police Department fundraiser at Paradise Center for the Arts below.
This is another reason to attend the fundraiser on Saturday. You have an opportunity to thank Bohlen directly for his years of service to Faribault.
The announcement comes just a couple weeks after Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn announced his retirement to move to Arizona for his wife's job promotion.
Coincidence you think? I know the two get along well.
