Faribault Boys Hockey Gets Home Playoff Game

The Faribault Falcons received the #7 seed in the Section 1A boys hockey tournament which opens Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

The top three seeds received byes including #1 Northfield (20-5), #2 New Prague (14-10-1) and #3 Albert Lea (18-6-1).

#4 Dodge County (15-9) will host #5 LaCrescent (18-7) Thursday, February 23, 2023.

The Falcons (11-13) host Austin (4-19-1) Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. with the winner going to New Prague on Thursday for a 7:00 p.m. game.  Faribault was ousted from the playoffs last year by the Trojans.

#6 Winona (9-13-2) has #11 Red Wing (1-20-4) come to their arena with the winner going to Albert Lea Thursday.

#9 Waseca (10-14) is at #8 Rochester Lourdes (9-16) with the winner going to Big Nine Conference Champion Northfield Thursday.

Semifinals at the Rochester Rec Center are scheduled for Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

The title game will be Wednesday, Mmarch 1, 2023 at Rochester Rec Center.

In Section 1AA South Suburban Conference Champions Lakeville South (18-6-1) is the top seed hosting Farmington (3-22) Thursday, February 23, 2023.

#2 Rochester Mayo (18-5-2) will have crosstown rival #7 Rochester John Marshall (14-10-1) play 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Graham Arena.

#3 Lakeville North (11-14) faces off with #6 Owatonna (11-12-2) in Lakeville Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

#5 Rochester Century (15-10) goes to #4 Hastings (15-9-1) Thursday, February 23, 2023.

Semifinals are Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in Rochester Rec Center.  Finals are Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the Rec Center.
