Classic Chevy Smashed in Alleged DUI Crash in Eyota
Eyota, MN (KROC-AM News) - Charges are pending against a 70-year-old Rochester man who crashed a classic car into a tree in Eyota on Sunday.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department Captain Scott Behrns says Dennis Keifer was behind the wheel of a 1966 Chevrolet and was doing “donuts and burnouts” in the 100 block of Front Street in Eyota when the crash occurred around 5 PM. He was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released for minor injuries, while his passenger suffered a broken leg.
Captain Behrns says Keifer admitted to deputies that he had been drinking prior to the crash and could face criminal vehicular operation, DUI, and other charges.
