AM MN Today Rice County Fair Talk

My guest on today's AM Minnesota Program was Rice County Fair Manager John Dvorak. It is hard to believe the 2019 Rice County Fair is only 5 weeks away! John seemed very relaxed so that must mean all the details are pretty well all taken care of! We also had a special guest on too, David who is a promoter for Midwest Allstar Wrestling. Yes, there will be Allstar Wrestling at the Rice County Fair.

The last couple years the Friday evening Grandstand Event was the Barnes Rodeo. Because of a scheduling conflict the Rodeo was moved to Thursday evening. That left Friday night open. One phone call lead to another and this year there will be Midwest Allstar Wrestling at the Rice County Fair. David said there will be popular Minnesota wrestlers at the Rice County Fair plus from states as far away as Nebraska.

It sounds like it will be quite an event. David said one of the wrestlers is 6 foot seven inches tall and weighs 300 pounds! John added that it has been a long time, if ever since there was Allstar wrestling at the Rice County Fair.
