AM Minnesota Today Rice County Fair Talk

My guest on today's AM Minnesota Program will be John Dvorak Rice County Fair Manager. Yes, it is time for our monthly update with John about the Rice County Fair in July. Spring is here and before you know it we will be at the Rice County Fair. One change John mentioned last month is that  we will have a Rice County Fair Ambassador this year rather than a Rice County Fair Queen.

We will also want to mention the Best of the Best the Rice County Agriculture  Fair Hall of Fame Program. The deadline for nominating someone is approaching so if you know someone that should be in the Rice County Fair Agriculture Hall of Fame get more details this morning on today's AM Minnesota program.

I believe this is the 12th year of the Rice County Fair Agriculture Hall of Fame Program. It is a really nice event that is held Wednesday morning during the Rice County Fair. It begins with a free breakfast for everyone thanks to the Rice County Farm Bureau, Rice County Pork Producers, Rice County American Dairy Association and the Dakota Rice Corn and Soybean Growers.

The Faribault Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Committee organizes the program with Art Madsen organizing all the nominations. Also, special thanks to Doug Gilbertson and the Nerstrand Agri-Center for sponsoring the award!
