On Sunday the Minnesota State Patrol reported a crash on Highway 60 near milepost 140 in Morristown Township. A pickup truck collided with another pickup after crossing over the centerline head-on.

At 5:59 pm on Sunday a 2003 Dodge pickup truck driven by thirty-five-year-old Brent William Petrofske of Hastings was traveling East Bound on Highway 60 when he crossed over the centerline and hit a 1997 Ford pickup driven by thirty-seven-year-old Bruce Leslie Wilking of Waldorf, MN head on.

The State Patrol report indicated that alcohol was a possible factor in Petrofske crossing the centerline.

Wilking was taken to the Faribault hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Also responding to the accident scene were the Rice County Sheriff's Office, North Ambulance, and Morristown Fire.
