The Caledonia Warriors were down by 13 points at the half of their State Class 2A Semi-Final game with top seeded Annandale, but the old saying "you live by the three and you die by the three" proved true.  The Warriors fell 81-76 while scoring 46 second half points.  They were 6 of 30 from three point range in the game and found a team that could match, and maybe even exceed, their physicality in Annandale.  One of the Cardinal leaders, Matt Miller had 21 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and fouled out with 6:06 to go in the game.  Annandale outrebounded Caledonia 40-35, but the stat that jumped off the paper were the 19 assists they had in the victory.  The Warriors had just 10 assists.  The Cardinals came out on fire from three point range, more accurately, Chase Knickerbocker was unconcious from beyond the arc hitting on 5 threes at the half.  He would add just one more the rest of the game.  Austin Bauer had 28 in Caledonia's opener in the tournament and had 10 points in the semis, Kyle Sorenson collected 24 points and 13 rebounds, eighth grader Owen King had 12 points along with sophomore Colton Lampert.  In addition to Miller, Andrew Fort had 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Caledonia plays at noon Saturday at Concordia in St. Paul against Fairmont for third place and top seeded Annandale meets number one rated Esko for the 2A State Championship on KDHL.
