Trojans Persevere

The Rushford Peterson Trojans led by 10 points at the half and looked to be in control, but the Maranatha Christian Mustangs of Brooklyn Park nearly pulled off the comeback. R-P prevailed 53-51 in a great Class A sem-final at the Target Center.  Cole Kingsley is listed at 6'0 and he pulled down the most rebounds of anyone on the floor with eight.  He added 13 points and played every second of the game.  Austin O'Hare hit a jumper in the paint with 1:06 to go to seal the win because it would be the last points scored.  The Trojans motion offense against the Mustangs man to man was a joy to watch as the tallied 34 points in the paint to Maranatha's 16.  R-P faces top ranked Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in the championship tomorrow at noon and Roy and I will have it on our baseline to baseline coverage of the State Tournament.
