Dale Pexa Sr., 73, of Elko, passed away on Sunday. He was a farmer, cement contractor and loved music. He formed the Dale Pexa Band in 1963. He was a popular artist on our KDHL Old Tyme music shows, so we will be paying tribute to him on May 12 and 13 by playing a number of his songs during the Old Tyme show with Kelly from 1-3PM.

Pexa's obituary said that he loved to sit and write music, and loved to entertain. He was a member of the Czech Area Concertina Club and was inducted into the World Concertina Hall of Fame. He was a great people person. Our condolences go out to his wife, Fran, and all of his family.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 14, at 10AM at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague. Visitation is Wednesday from 3-8PM and Thursday morning from 7:30-9:30AM at Bruzek Funeral Home, 610 E. Main St. in New Prague.
