The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
A wind chill advisory, which is in effect from 3AM to noon Saturday.

  • Expect wind chills to range from 20 and 35 below zero between 3AM and 11AM Saturday,  with the coldest wind chills occurring around 9AM Saturday.
  • The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

Temperatures will slowly drop on Friday to a low of -4. Saturday's high is not forecast to be warmer than 1 above and Sunday not warmer than -4. Expect double-digit lows below zero Saturday, Sunday and Monday night.

A wind chill advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to generate low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

Stay tuned for any delay or cancellation announcements throughout the weekend. Check the latest under Weather Closings on this website.
