Is there a young person in your life who enjoys reading, or whom you would like to encourage to read more? Maybe you know an older student who is interested in sharing their own love of reading. Get them involved in the LittleBigRead Program. The LittleBigRead at the Buckham Memorial Library will take place this week on Thursday, January 14, from 4-5PM in the youth programming area of the library. All are invited and no preregistration is needed.
LittleBigRead is a fun and informal program that partners older kids in middle and high school with elementary-age kids for one-on-one reading time. The younger student can spend time being read to or reading to the older student, or they can take turns and share reading a book together.

The intention is for this program to be a fun, stress-free way for children to build a desire to read for fun. Readers can select books from the library’s collection or a favorite book may also be brought from home. LittleBigRead will continue to take place weekly each Thursday from 4-5PM during the school year, unless otherwise noted.
