At least the combo-meal special isn't going anywhere.

I probably go to Costco a couple times a month, and I'm not talking about for getting groceries either. I probably eat at their food court 2-3 times with my wife or meet my dad there for lunch so we can catch up and we always get a hot dog. So when I read that Costco has decided to get rid of one of their staple menu items: the Polish Dog, I got pretty depressed. I know, I know, it's just a silly hot dog but they're pretty damn good!

Like me, you're probably thinking why the heck would they do that?! Well, The Seattle Times reports the retail giant is making changes to the menu to appeal to more health-conscious shoppers. In fact, Costco hinted at a menu change earlier this year and recently began rolling out new vegan and vegetarian food items like an acai bowl, organic burgers and an al pastor salad.

But rest easy: the original all-beef hot dog combo - sold for $1.50 with a soda - is not going away.

So while I'm a little bummed, I'll get through it because all their food is pretty delicious.
