The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory through 10AM Friday. Expect wind chills to range from 25 below zero to 35 below zero over the area overnight. The coldest wind chills will occur midnight through 8AM Friday.

The wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors, make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

It could be a lot colder.
