Over the past couple of weeks there's been a flurry of activity on the outside of the Townsquare Media-owned building that houses local radio icon KDHL and classic rocker Power 96. In an effort to improve upon the appearance of our aging facility, we recently had Met-Con Construction working on replacing some of the bricks that had worked themselves loose over the years. Luckily they were able to reuse the original bricks to restore the front of the building to its former gray glory.

The big project was going on at the rear of the building, where a crew of construction workers, or should I say deconstruction workers, were hard at it tearing down a set of garages that had fallen into disrepair along with the flooring of a previously demolished garage. They brought in a skid loader and a backhoe along with a various assortment of attachments to facilitate the dismantling of the aforementioned building. It took them about a week and a half, due to weather conditions and equipment availability, before they finished the project and left us with a nice gravel parking lot for employees, that I recently learned will eventually be paved. No more muddy shoes for this intrepid reporter.

As a side note, a big thank you going out to the Met-Con crew for allowing me to get some great pictures while the demolition was in progress.
