Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Fastpitch Defeats United South Central

Gloriz Cortez allowed two hits in a 11-0 five inning Waterville-Elysian-Morristown fastpitch victory over United South Central in Wells Thursday.

Cortez was very efficient with 45 total pitches, 35 strikes.  She allowed no walks and had 2 strikeouts.

The Buccaneers cranked out 12 hits in the lopsided affair including 4 doubles and a triple.  W-E-M also had 4 stolen bases in the game.

Ellie Ready had 2 hits, a double, stolen base.  Lindsay Condon clubbed 2 hits, a triple, 3 RBI with a stolen base.  Kylie Pittman smacked 2 hits, a double, RBI, stole a base.

Allison Rients collected a pair of hits including a double, 2 RBI, stolen base.  Addyson Taylor had a RBI hit and stolen base.

Rylee Pelant had an RBI double.

Waterville-Elysian-Morristown is 4-3 this season with home games Monday and Tuesday against Maple River and Blooming Prairie.  They snapped a 3 game losing streak with their victory.

The Randolph Rockets fastpitch team equaled the baseball squad with two pitchers combining for a no-hit 17-0 four inning win over Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons.

The Rockets had 10 hits led by Carissa Kimmes with a double and triple for 2 RBI.  Meredith Taylor achieved a couple hits including a double, 3 RBI.

Megan Erickson collected a pair of hits, 2 RBI, stolen base.  Morgyn Otte had an RBI double.

Otte threw two innings with 4 strikeouts throwing 20 pitches, 19 strikes.  Paige Ford tossed the final two innings with 2 strikeouts.  She threw 35 pitches 22 strikes.  They faced just two batters over the minimum.

The Rockets are 11-0.  They travel to Houston for a 4:30 p.m. game Monday.
