Tentative Plea Deal For Rochester Serial Exposer Suspect

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A plea deal has been reached in the case of the Rochester man who was charged with exposing himself to multiple women in the St. Marys Hospital area.
A petition filed in Olmsted County Court indicates 19-year-old Zachariah Ahmed has worked out a tentative agreement with prosecutors that calls for him to admit to gross misdemeanor counts of harassment and 5th-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was charged with 8 separate incidents and is scheduled to formally enter the guilty pleas at a hearing on Friday.
The plea deal calls for a stay of imposition for the harassment counts and a stay of adjudication in the case of 5th-degree criminal sexual conduct. Ahmed will be required to serve 90 days of electronic home monitoring and submit to a psychological-sexual evaluation and undergo treatment if it's recommended.
Ahmed was arrested in December, several days after a woman reported a man had exposed himself to her while she was walking in the 500 block of 1st Street Southwest. The first incident was reported in the same area in September. In one case, a woman reported in November that she was grabbed from behind by the exposer.
