Use This Little Known Entrance to MSP Next Time You Travel

With the construction going on in Terminal 1, this secret entrance to MSP is extremely useful! Did you know that you can enter MSP through a hotel entrance? What?! Yep, if you only have a carry-on you can go through TSA at the InterContinental Hotel. Unfortunately, if you're checking a bag you cannot go through this entrance.

This little known entrance to the airport is on the 3rd floor of the hotel. No, you do not need to be staying at the hotel to use this entrance, it's open to the public! However, it's only open for a limited amount of time during the day.

You can use the InterContinental Hotel MSP entrance between 5:15 AM and 10 AM, which, Bring Me the News says, encompasses "one of the busiest departure times of the day, and travelers don't have to be prescreened to go through."

This entrance is "connected to Concourse C at Terminal 1 via skyway." InterContinental has this tip on how to use their MSP entrance: "'Hotel officials recommend travelers be dropped off at the hotel’s entrance, park in the ramp next to the hotel or take InterContinental’s shuttle from the terminal to the hotel.'"
