Unique (And Adorable!) Snow Day Announcement Made By Minnesota School
The last few days in Minnesota and Iowa, we've had a ton of school closings due to storm "Olive". Thanks to one school district, students found the news out thanks to a dog.
When we were kids, I remember that when it was bad weather, we had to wake up, actually get out of bed and stare at the bottom of the TV screen to see if school was closed. Kids today can just look at their phones to find out...and they can do that WHILE they are still in bed. Times have sure changed but I do like one thing about today...we get to witness some pretty creative school closing announcements.
Did A Dog Really Call Off School for Kids in Rochester?
I love the cute and funny snow day announcements that schools create. I know it takes some extra work but you've got to admit, they are just adorable.
Well, I just happened to be scrolling on my phone this afternoon and managed to see a few funny "No School Announcements" including one that was done by a dog. Yes, a dog.
Kent Pekel, superintendent of Rochester Public Schools posted the following tweet today:
Kobe is the best and I'm pretty sure is the most popular dog in Rochester, Minnesota today thanks to that announcement.
What do you do for fun on a snow day?
Do you have a fun snow day tradition? I'd love to hear what you do - just send me a note over on my Facebook page - Jessica On The Radio. I know a few friends that make scones, others that always play board games with their kids. I thought about making chocolate chip cookies today but that's as far as I got with that.
