The Randolph Rockets have been to the MSHSL State Tournament two of the past three seasons.  The only thing that probably stood in their way of making the big show last year was the fact there was no season due to COVID-19.

In 2018 and 2019 they finished third.  The Rockets want to finish the season #1.  That's all that matters.  A top ranking during the season is nice but Randolph wants the title hardware in June at Caswell Park, North Mankato.

Hayfield, Goodhue and Wabasha-Kellogg are in others receiving votes in Class  A.

In Class AA Pipestone Area is #1, Maple Lake #2, Le Sueur-Henderson #3.  New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva is rated #5, Winona Cotter #6, Chatfield tied for #10.

Among others receiving votes is Zumbrota-Mazeppa (who defeated Cotter), Grand Meadow-Leroy-Ostrander, Kingsland (GMLOK) and St. Charles.

Class 3a has Sartell #1.  The pollsters must have forgotten that the state title in Class 3A for the last few years has gone through the Big Nine Conference.  Mankato West, Winona, Faribault, Northfield.

They do have Mankato West rated #4, Mankato East #6 tied with Winona.  Byron is #8.  Kasson-Mantorville did receive votes.

In Class 4A Stillwater Area is #1.  Rosemount #3.  Others receiving votes include Prior Lake, Northfield, Lakeville North, Farmington.
