Undated (KROC-AM News) - A 2-year-old child was killed in NE Minnesota Thursday after the stroller he was in was hit by a pickup truck.

It happened around 1:00 PM near the town of Nashwauk.

The State Patrol says a 16-year-old girl was pushing the stroller along a road when they were hit from behind by the truck. The driver did not stop but was later located and arrested. The toddler died at the scene while the teen was treated for “significant but non-life threatening injuries.” The toddler was identified as Logan Klennert and the teen as Alexia Carroll, both of Nashwauk

The State Patrol says the driver of the truck - 38-year-old Jake Place of Nashwauk - was arrested on criminal vehicular homicide and operation and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

A woman was killed late Thursday night after being struck by a pickup truck in St. Cloud. The State Patrol says the vehicle had the green light. The woman was identified as 57-year-old Judith Dvorak Ramirez of St. Cloud.
