
Rochester Man Suffers Life-Threatening Injury in Go-Kart Accident

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was seriously injured Tuesday after crashing a go-kart on a city street.
Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says the 20-year-old had been driving the homemade go-kart in the parking lot of Lincoln at Mann School.
Moilanen says as the man was leaving around 9:30 PM, he flipped in the area of 11th St and 9th Ave SE and was thrown onto the road and suffered a “substantial head injury.”
Moilanen says the man was breathing but unconscious when first responders arrived. The accident was witnessed by a friend of the man who had been with him.
Moilanen says the name of the man is being withheld until his family has been notified.
