Plainview, MN (KROC-AM News)- Four people were hurt following a three-vehicle crash about two miles west of Plainview Friday afternoon.

The State Patrol incident report says a Chevy pick-up traveling west on Hwy. 247 was stopped to make a left turn onto 265th Ave. when it was struck from behind by a westbound Jeep. The Jeep then spun around and collided with another Jeep traveling east on Hwy. 247 shortly before 4 p.m.

The driver of the pick-up, identified as 42-year-old Robert Weis of Plainview, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. 46-year-old Shannon Nelson of Plainview was operating the westbound Jeep. She and two passengers in her vehicle, identified as 81-year-old Gloria Nelson of Plainview and 20-year-old Lillianna Joy Van De Walker of Plainview, were also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the eastbound Jeep was not hurt. Troopers say all five of the people involved in the crash were buckled up.

Alcohol was not involved in the three-vehicle wreck, the report says. The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Plainview Police Department, Plainview Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the crash.
