This is National 4-H week. The new year so to speak for 4-H began on October 1, so it was no accident this week was chosen as National 4-H Week. You can join 4-H anytime during the year but this would be an ideal time to join 4-H if you have been talking with your children about 4-H. There is a 4-H program in all 87 Minnesota Counties. For more information call your local extension office or go to the University of Minnesota Extension 4-H website.

The guidance for 4-H comes from the University of Minnesota Extension Service and local 4-H Extension Educators, plus adult leaders and parents. The really unique fact about 4-H is that many times the whole family goes together to club meetings and events.  It seems today parents and kids are always going different directions to activities. The other nice thing about being involved in 4-H is it does not have to cost a lot of money to be involved either!
