After the fallout from Roseanne's tweets last May, Roseanne Barr was fired from her show, and "Roseanne" was canceled. I had so looked forward to watching the reboot, even though it wasn't the same as the original show. After all, Glenn Quinn (Mark) had passed away, and Johnny Galecki (David) was busy with another show you might have heard of, "The Big Bang Theory." And who can forget the two actresses who played Becky, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke, how were they going to incorporate both of them?

Well, that is now all water under the bridge as they say, and ABC decided to keep the cast going, minus Barr, and have a spinoff called "The Conners." I finally got a chance to watch it, and they wasted ZERO time making sure everyone knew that Roseanne's character was not ever coming back. They had her die from (spoiler alert) an opioid overdose. At the end of the last season we saw her taking pain pills, so, kill her off with those they did.

It was a nice wrap-up from the former show "Roseanne" but, I really don't know if the show should keep going on past this season. I wasn't overly impressed with the show overall, but, I'll keep watching to see if they can change my mind. And, you never know, perhaps something will happen to bring Roseanne back. After all, they killed Dan off in the original series finale and brought him back. What's stopping them from doing the same with Roseanne?

There were mixed reviews all over my social media, and Roseanne was active on Twitter. Check here for more about this new series.
