More Than 65,000 Expected at National FFA Convention

Next week there will be more than 65,000 FFA members and their guests at the ninety first National FFA Convention. Yes, everywhere you look next week in Indianapolis you will see masses of blue jackets from October 24-27, 2018. FFA members will be there representing all 50 states in the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The theme of the 2018 convention is " Just one."

Many of the convention events will be in downtown Indianapolis at the Bankers Life Field House or the Indiana Convention Center. However some events will be held in surrounding areas. FFA members will be staying at 115 hotels in the Indianapolis area. The eighth general session will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium where about 4,000 FFA members will receive the America FFA degree, the highest degree for an FFA member.

Garth Brooks, the reigning Country Music Association Entertainer of the year will perform for FFA members I believe at the Lucas Oil Stadium. I have heard that the National FFA Convention is one of the largest conventions held in the United States. It is estimated that the FFA convention will have a $40 million impact on Indianapolis! I am really looking forward to being at the National FFA Convention next week!
