Sex Offender Moving to Faribault – Community Meeting Scheduled
Registered sex offender Darren Everett Sweazey is moving to Faribault in the coming days. He is a Level 3 predatory offender, "a risk level that denotes he's highly likely to re-offend."
The Faribault Police Department will be hosting a community meeting on May 15th at 6pm at the Faribault Police Department. Sweazey is being released from prison on May 16th. The Police Department is required by law to host meetings like these when registered sex offenders will be moving to the city.
While living here, Sweazey will be under supervision by corrections officials. He is planning to live on the 300 block of Willow Street.
This is not the first time that Sweazey has been released to the Faribault community. He was convicted for third-degree criminal sexual conduct in 2003. This most recent conviction took place back in 2006.
Since he is a Level 3 predatory offender he is required to have his personal information and address available on the Minnesota Department of Corrections website.
