Several New Businesses Set To Build In Dundas

I told you recently that a new Aldi's store is a go in Dundas on Stafford Road. Construction is expected to get under way in the next week.

Two other businesses had their construction permits approved to occupy space in the former Kmart store -- MGM Wine and Spirits and Behr’s USA Flooring. MGM is new to Dundas and Behr's is moving from their location on Schilling Drive. The business is expected to have about 6,300-6,500 square feet of space, according to the story in the Northfield News.

Previously announced for the former Kmart space is a 10-screen movie theater. Canvas Church also has expressed interest in using some of the space. Although the city has not received a permit request yet and it would require the city code to be amended to allow for religious institutions within the city’s B-2 Commercial Highway District, and It has to approve changes to allow liquor stores within 350 feet of a church.
