Hokah, MN (KROC AM News) – A southeast Minnesota woman was hurt after falling off a motorcycle after it struck a deer.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports 56-year-old Kimberly Covey of La Crescent was a passenger on the motorcycle when it hit the deer on Highway 26 near Hokah around 8:00 PM Wednesday. She was taken to a La Crosse hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.  She was not wearing a helmet.

The motorcycle was driven by 55-year-old Kurt Domabyl of La Crescent, who was not hurt. The State Patrol reports he had alcohol in his system.
