Rice County Social Services Offices Now Open

Rice County Social Services has announced the office is now open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for those who require in-person assistance.

In a News Release from the office they say, "Most business can be accomplished through the mail, email or telephone, and does not usually require a personal visit to our office.

The communication asks people to consider the following:

For HealthCare -Apply online at MNSURE.org
If you prefer a paper application call us at (507) 332-5995

For Childcare –Apply online at ApplyMN.DHS.MN.GOV or
Call us at (507) 332-5995 and leave your name and address –we’ll mail you an application.

For Cash or Food Assistance–Apply online at ApplyMN.DHS.MN.GOV
If you prefer a paper application call us at (507) 332-5995.

Stacker used data from the 2020 County Health Rankings to rank every state's average life expectancy from lowest to highest. The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics. The U.S. Census 2019 American Community Survey and America's Health Rankings Senior Report 2019 data were also used to provide demographics on the senior population of each state and the state's rank on senior health care, respectively.
