Tonight, over 100 Minnesota high school stadiums and fields will turn on their lights between 8 PM and 9 PM to honor student-athletes who had their seasons cut short or canceled because of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Bring Me the News reports that John Millea of the Minnesota State High School League has tracked that "more than 150 schools that have committed to participating, with the number growing as word spreads." John wrote in his journal on the MSHSL website that the idea came from a Texas high school at the end of March.

Due to social distancing, you can't gather at the stadiums or fields to partake in the ceremony but you can hang out in your car or drive-by. Take a look at the schools participating on the MSHSL Facebook Page.
