Northfield Flu Clinic is Monday, December 14th
The Rice County Public Health Department announced today a flu vaccination clinic is being held in Northfield Monday, December 14th from 3:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Community Education Center.
The location is 700 Lincoln Parkway. This is for anyone 6 months of age and older. Please wear a face covering and short-sleeved shirt for ease of vaccine administration. No appointments are necessary, physical distancing will be maintained.
Flu vaccination is more important than ever during the current pandemic according to Rice County Public Health to protect yourself and the people around you from flu, to help reduce the strain on healthcare systems responding to COVID-19.
If you have not been vaccinated you are encouraged to do so. Vaccines available include high-dose vaccine for those 65 years and older, quadrivalent injectable for 6 months and older, FluMist for those 19 to 49 years old.
A fillable vaccine administration form is on the Rice County Public Health website. If possible they are encouraging people to complete the form ahead of time and bring it to the clinic.
Rice County Public Health bills directly to health insurances. Those with or without insurance can attend the Northfield Flu Clinic Monday, December 14th 3:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the Community Education Center. There is no out of pocket expense for the vaccine.
