The state fair this year, but we will get a Fine Arts Exhibition Event.  So, that's a fair trade off, right?  Ok, maybe not, but it's something.

Every year most Minnesotans look forward to the state fair. It's been considered one of the best state fairs in the country for years.  But this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, they decided to cancel the fair.  This hasn't happened in decades.  But here we are, most if not all events have been cancelled.

This event will have pieces of art that have been submitted by people from all over the state.

Being the "artsy" person that I am, I find this event kind of awesome!  Not that it is a replacement for the State Fair, but it is a pretty cool event. This exhibit will be going on at the same time as the fair would have been happening, and will also be on the fairgrounds.  You can find the exhibit in the Fine Arts building.  There are specific hours as well, and you will need a ticket.  So, best idea is to plan ahead so you can go when you would like to before those times fill up.

Do you need to wear a mask?

Staff will be wearing them, and there will be sanitation stations set up around the exhibit.  Exhibit goers will be encouraged to wear them, but not required.  If you would like to wear one, please bring your own because they will not be provided if you don't have one.

Help celebrate the artists in Minnesota with this exhibit.
