Sick of driving through ramp after ramp and never finding an open parking space, let alone a spot near the entry way when it's blistering hot, or freezing cold outside when you're visiting the largest shopping mall in the world? Me too.

Well in case you missed it you can now reserve your spot up to six months in advance using, what else, an app! A Miami-based company is rolling out a validation program that would let customers pay less to park in those spots, or for FREE.

The MyPark app at the Mall of America launched back in October, and shoppers have been taking advantage of this feature ever since. According to KARE 11, there are 20 reserved spots at MOA: 10 at the East Garage and 10 at the West Garage on Level One.

Here's how it works: It's $3 for up to two hours, then an additional $3 per hour added. The app will automatically renew your time so you never have to worry about running out of time or overpaying the app.

First-time users can try MyPark for free by using the code MYPARK1. To kick off the validation program, MyPark is also giving merchants a $100 credit for joining which will allow them to test the program and also see how their customers will like it.

As I've said before, I wouldn't mind if this became available here in Rochester as well. Do you think it would work/make sense?
