For the past couple of weeks, I have noticed there is a Farmer's Market set up in the Grace Baptist Church parking lot, right off 26th St, on the North side of Owatonna. I had been wanting to go and check it out, just did not have a chance until yesterday.

There were not as many booths as you see at the Saturday morning Farmer's Market here in Owatonna, but, they had several booths up there. It was also Somali Heritage Day, so they had several girls up there doing henna (temporary) tattoos, for free. Bonus, my daughter got her henna tattoo that she has been wanting.

I spoke to Jenny Kath about the market, they are at Grace Baptist Church, every Tuesday evening, from 4-7 pm, through August 21st. They accept cash, of course, debit and credit cards, and they also accept EBT/SNAP benefits and offers Market Bucks, which is Market Bucks is a dollar-for-dollar matching incentive (up to $10) for those who use their SNAP/EBT card at the market to purchase healthy foods. Spend $10 with your SNAP/EBT card and get $10 in Market Bucks for a total of $20 towards healthy foods. It's like getting $10 free money for healthy foods. What a great program.
