Minnesota State Trooper Hurt at Icy Crash Scene
Rothsay, MN (KROC-AM News)- The State Patrol says a trooper was hurt while responding to a crash along an icy Minnesota freeway Tuesday.

Northwest, West-Central and Central Minnesota State Patrol Public Information Officer Sgt. Jesse Grabow said troopers were responding to dozens of crashes across western Minnesota Tuesday. An early-spring storm brought several inches of snow that created slick traveling conditions across the area.
Grabow said a trooper at the scene of one of the crashes was struck while he was in his squad car around 2:45 p.m. The collisions occurred along Eastbound I-94 west of the Rothsay exit. The other drivers involved were not hurt.
Grabow said the trooper was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Grabow says troopers responded to 28 crashes in west-central and northwest Minnesota Tuesday.
Two of the crashes involved minor injuries. The State Patrol also reported 18 vehicle spinouts, the majority of which were semi trucks.
