The decision on whether or not kids are actually heading 'back' to school hasn't been made yet, and won't be until the 27th, but that's not stopping Owatonna's Wireless World from distributing backpacks filled with school supplies this Saturday morning.

The 3rd annual Backpack to School event will happen this Saturday, July 25th beginning at 9am at the Owatonna Wireless World location, 1100 W. Frontage Rd, Suite 100. Wireless World will be distributing backpacks filled with supplies for kids Grade K-12.

So what do you need to know? Well, a child must be present, with an adult, to claim their free backpack. No need to buy anything either as the event states that there is no purchase necessary. Wireless World's event on social media states that the wireless carrier partnered with Tessco Technologies to make the event possible.

The event states that there will also be a limited amount of backpacks to be given away per participating store location, so if you and your child/grandchild are in need of a backpack and school supplies, getting there earlier would be a good idea.

Many schools in the area have created different learning plans based on what the Governor decides on July 27th. The three different choices that Governor Walz faces are sending kids back to school full-time like normal, a hybrid distance learning/at school plan where some students attend the classroom certain days while others are distance learning, and then full-time distance learning for Minnesota students.
