Sarah Anderson Executive Director of the Minnesota Turkey Growers was my guest on Tuesday's AM Minnesota Program. For quite some time I have had a guest on AM Minnesota just before Thanksgiving to talk turkeys! Sarah grew up on a dairy farm and has now been with the Minnesota Turkey growers for about 8 months. You could quickly tell Sarah has a passion for agriculture and livestock and fits in well with the Minnesota Turkey Growers!

Minnesota is still number one in turkey production in the United States by a fair amount. Sarah said Minnesota has a cost advantage in turkey production because of all the corn and soybeans grown by Minnesota Farmers. In addition Minnesota is home to the second largest turkey processor in the United States the Jennie-O Turkey Store.
