That’s according to the criminal complaint filed earlier this week in Olmsted County Court. The major cocaine bust happened on Monday.

Members of the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team tracked a vehicle driven by Dennis Cortez Siggers as it was returning to Rochester from the Twin Cities on Monday.

A marked squad car stopped the vehicle Siggers was driving shortly after 5 p.m. as it approached a residence in the 3900 block of 18th Ave. Northwest in Rochester.

Law enforcement had warrants to search the home, Siggers person and his vehicle. Inside of the vehicle was a gift bag containing a lightly-wrapped brick of substance suspected of being cocaine. The package weighed out to 1,032.1 grams, the charges say.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Lt. Malinda Olson said a 40-year-old woman and two elementary-aged children left the residence before law enforcement moved in to search the home.

Inside of the house authorities located six cellphones and six thousands dollars in currency straps, the complaint says. Siggers was formally charged with one count of felony first-degree drug sales and first-degree drug possession.

Court records indicate the massive drug bust occurred while Siggers was serving a supervised release portion of a 95-month prison term he received for a felony second-degree drug sales conviction in Olmsted County in 2019.

His bail in the new drug case is set at $100,000 without conditions. He’s due back in court on March 13.
