Bret Michaels Cancels Minnesota Show Amid Health Concerns

Grand Casino Hinckley announced that its Friday night show, which was supposed to feature Bret Michaels, has been canceled due to health concerns surrounding the former Poison front man. While the news is disappointing for his fans, the casino has indicated that ticketholders will be getting a refund.

Health Concerns Cause 2026 Tour To End Abruptly

It wasn't just the Grand Casino Hinckley show that Michaels canceled due to health concerns. According to People Magazine, the rest of Michaels' 2026 fall tour was also canceled after doctors told him that he should rest and recuperate after having several procedures done, including having kidney stone surgery in July.

After having the July surgery for kidney stones, Michaels postponed some dates while he recovered. That has now turned into the entire remaining shows.

Grand Casino Hinckley Stated Refunds Would Be Coming

I didn't hear about the concert cancelation until this morning, but over the weekend the casino indicated in a social media post that those who had purchased tickets to the Bret Michaels show would be getting a refund, but if you ordered from a 3rd-party website you'd have to reach out to that seller for a refund.

It remained unclear if Michaels would be eventually rescheduling any of the shows at a future date and time.

Michaels Had A Health Scare In 2025

On top of the kidney stone surgery, Michaels also has diabetes and has lived with the disease since being a child. Michaels diabetes also gave him pause while touring, in 2025 he had a health scare during a meet and greet that was severe enough he put out a statement that People Magazine shared stating at the time: “I vow in the near future, I’m going to take that time needed, and please forgive me if I have to move some of the shows around until I get this under control”
