Owatonna and Northfield traded one-goal decisions on Thursday night. A 3-2 win for the Raider girls was Owatonna's first loss and puts Northfield at the top of the Big Nine. The OHS boys rallied for three goals in the third period for a 4-3 win at Four Seasons Centre. It was Northfield's first loss.

In the girls game, the Raiders scored a pair of special teams goals late in the third period to break a 1-1 tied. The Huskies scored in the final minute for the 3-2 final. Molly Achterkirch and Abby Vetsch scored for the Huskies, who host Century Tuesday, February 2 in their next game. See the score sheet from Hockey Hub.

The OHS boys got back-to-back goals from Aaron Bangs and Joey Dub midway through the third period to go up 3-2. Northfield notched a power play goal with two-and-a-half minutes remaining. Wyatt Oldefendt netted the game winner at the 15:17 mark for the 4-3 win. See the score sheet from Hockey Hub. Owatonna hosts Rochester John Marshall Saturday, January 30 at 3 pm with coverage on AM 1390 KRFO, now simulcasting on 94.7 FM, and on the app.

Owatonna wrestling swept a tri meet Thursday at OHS 40-29 over Lakeville North and 56-20 over Mankato East. The Huskies wrestle at Northfield Friday, January 29. The Huskies face Albert Lea at 6:30 pm and the Raiders at about 8 pm with coverage on AM 1390 KRFO and the app, also simulcasting on 94.7 FM.

Northfield topped the OHS boys' swimmers Thursday 97-80.
