38 Huskies Earn All-Conference, All-District Honors

While the fall high school sports season was greatly impacted by limitations and restrictions put into effect due to the pandemic, one aspect that remained the same was the success of Owatonna High School teams and individuals. The Huskies celebrated a section title (football), had a runner-up finish (girls soccer), and two league titles (boys and girls cross country). Also four Huskies would have gone to state individually: Carsyn Brady and Zinash Valen (girls cross country), Preston Meier (boys cross country) and Logan Norrid (girls swimming). Thirty-eight Huskies were named All Big Nine or All Big Southeast District (football).

The OHS girls and boys cross country teams both won the conference title this fall. It's the first time the teams have both captured the championship in the same year. Girls coach Dan Leer and boys coach Dave Chatelaine were named the conference coaches of the year.
